「今でも日本刀を作っているのですか？」とよく尋ねられます。

 

現代では日本刀は使用されることはありません。

僕も人を傷つける道具を作っているつもりはありません。

日本刀は本来武器ですのでおかしな話です。

 

作り手として言うなら、日本刀には魂が入っているのです。

地鉄づくりから始め、時間をかけてつくります。

そして、焼き入れは一瞬で決まります。

焼きが入ると、刃紋が現れ、地鉄が活性化し、反りが生まれるのです。

 

美しく研磨された日本刀を手にしてみると、味わったことのない不思議な魅力を感じることができます。

姿、刃紋、地鉄、重さ、感触、刃物の緊張感など、数えあげればたくさんあります。

 

千年も昔から日本人が大切してきた理由が解るはずです。

 

現代の刀鍛冶として、心に響く、魅力のある名刀をつくりたいと考えています。

 

I am often asked, "Do you still make Japanese swords?"

 

Japanese swords are not used in modern times.

I also have no intention of creating tools to hurt people.

As a maker, I can say that Japanese swords have a soul.

We will start by building the subway and take time to build it.

And quenching is done in an instant.

When fired, the blade pattern appears, the base iron becomes active, and a warp is created.

 

 When you hold a beautifully polished Japanese sword in your hands, you will feel a mysterious charm that you have never experienced before.

There are many things to consider, such as the appearance, blade pattern, base metal, weight, feel, tension of the blade, etc.

 

 You will understand why it has been cherished by the Japanese people for thousands of years.

 

 As a modern swordsmith, I want to create famous swords that touch the heart and are attractive.
